Teen counseling is a type of therapy that focuses on the unique needs and challenges of teenagers. My goal is to help adolescents develop coping skills and strategies to manage the challenges of adolescence, such as peer pressure, academic stress, family conflict, and mental health concerns. I will work with the teen to identify and address personal concerns and issues, and help them develop a sense of identity and direction for their life.
Teen counseling can be helpful for a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, substance abuse, and more. It can also be beneficial for teens who are struggling with issues such as bullying, social isolation, or family conflict.
During teen counseling, I may use a variety of techniques, such as narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, or play therapy. I will also provide education and guidance on topics such as healthy relationships, self-esteem, decision-making, and emotional regulation.
